So scared of labor!

I know that my body was made to do this and women have been doing it for... ever but I still get so anxious and worried whenever I think about it. I wish I knew exactly what day and what time it was going to start and how long it is going to last! I read birth stories most of the days so I can have a better understanding of what happens but I kniw every labor is different and that is what makes me so nervous I think! Just knowing that nothing is predictable and anything could (please God forbid) go wrong. I am 30 weeks and 4 days and I already just want this to be overwith so I can have my daughter here and safe with me!

Thank you both, I am not above getting an epidural, I am going to try to go as long as I can before getting.one though.... BUT its not just labor that scares the **** out of me its after too, I hear of tearing and unplanned c-sections that just take a while to heal. Im not looking forward to huge pads and being scared to poop after and pretty much everything that goes along with having a baby!!

With my first i was super nervous and scared about delivery. But sueprisingly it went very smooth and natural. I didnt have much pain because after dilating and having contractions for a few hours, i got an epidural. So all i felt while pushing was pressure, no pain. And i onlily pshed for 1 hour

You will do great. I cant tolerate pain...I usually pass out when I get hurt but I didn't when I was in labor. The pain gradually gets worse...its not all of a sudden. I had an epidural too which was amazing. You dont even feel the epidural go in. They numb it really well and its just a small sting. It helps if you have a doctor you trust too. Just focus on the end goal of holding your little bundle!
