Labor and after Delivery

Hey ladies. I'm a FTM 36 weeks. Trying to figure out my birth plan

Wanted to know what you guys thought about or what you did after delivery. Did you have them give you the baby tig by away to hold to your bare body it did you have them clean him/her up first and then hand them to you?

Also did you record the labor/take pictures? If so who did it for you?

Who did you allow in the delivery room with you? (I'm only going to have. Y husband there.)

Thank you in advance.

I like having my husband in there only. I feel more comfortable. . Don't like that other ppl see my privates.  Guess I'm shy. But once the baby is out the doc hands it over to the nurse yo wipe down as much as they can then do some measurement n check him a quick check. Then they hand it over to u but I was wearing my hospital gown (not sure what it's called) they hand him over for a few min then ur husband gets to hold him for some min also then they take him away to get him cleaned n medically evaluated. They will bring him back when it's the 1st breast feeding all nice n cleaned. Besides ull be so exhausted that u have to rest to recover. Now 8f something when wrong or if the baby is having complications like breathing they will take him right away n bring him back when he is cleared

I'm on my 3rd pregnancy. Both my previous labors and deliverys were so different. I was induced with my 1st at 36 and 5 because I had no fluid I was so shaken up and mad I needed lots of support so my mom, 2 sis in laws, my mil, my grandma, and my husband were there. She was born 12 hours after pitocine started and was having trouble breathing so I got to hold her while we waited for the nicu team to come get her. She came home 11 days later and is now a healthy 3 and half year old. My second I went into labor on my own at 38 and 6 that labor was about 9 and a half hours. For the delivery since I was more calm and ready for baby to come my husband was the only one in the room when baby was born. There was merconium when they broke my water so they had to suction her out and put a diaper on her before giving her to me for skin to skin and trying to nurse then they cleaned her up weighed and measured her then big sis was the first to meet her fallowed by family in the waiting room. One thing I did with both kids and plan on doing this time as well is having a mirror down there during delivery. Sounds weird and gross but it was amazing getting to watch both girls come out.

Held both my babies close for hours after birth, let them feed, got cleaned up later/while I was holding them (babies were pretty clean coz I had waterbirths so didn't need cleaning up) and weighed and measured babies a few hours later.

Had both my sister's, hubby and 2 midwives with me for both births. Had 1 sister video my births and take some pictures of labour, loved looking at them later on :)

(for my sister's birth I taped the video camera to a towel rail where it had a good steady angle, so when it gets closer to birth and you know which spot of the room you'll be in, hubby could try something like that)
