I just don't know if I wait until it's time to push if I will make it :)
With my first i went to l&d at 7 am and had my baby at 12:30am it was the worst experiance ever!! With my sec labour started at 5 am and i waited till it was 9am and went in had my baby boy at 10:30 im hoping to do the same with this one i guess you juat know when its time to push.
Sounds like a good policy. I also don't wanna be trying to not push enroute lol. Though it seems like anything after 8cm makes you want to push. I'm gonna try for sure. If really like to avoid the cesarean.
I labored mostly at home with my first 3 babies and will do the same with this one. I stay home until my contractions are 3 mins apart for about 15mins at that point I start getting everything by the front door so my husband can load up the car and I make sure all my lights are off. I just try to stay home as much as I can I usually get to the hospital by time im 7cm and im usually there maybe 2hours before my baby arrives. Once my water gets broke i dilate to all the way with in 2-3 mins.
Truthfully I have to have a c-section because the hospital that I deliver at doesn't do VBAC. My doctor mentioned to me that if I show up at the hospital dialiated to a 9 I wouldn't be taken to the OR. I am so tempted to labor at home and try it. I don't live far from the hospital and I have made it to 6cm at home before. I just don't want to go thru the whole labor thing only to get there too soon and have a csection anyway.
Our hospital is an hour away so I got to the hospital at 8 and 9 cm for my second and third deliveries. I was induced for the first and hated it and they were going to induce the fourth but I started labor on my own as soon as they inserted the gel. He was born unless than 2 hours. I'm hoping this one will be natural.
I plan on doing most of the Laboring at home, but I do want pain meds before the baby comes! No natural birth for me.
I was induced first time and stuck in the bed.....not what I wanted. I do hope to go into labor this time and be comfortable/miserable in my own home for as long as possible. :) Luckily hospital is only a few miles down the street.
With my first I was induced 10 days late and this one I don't want to go over 10 days late I'm really hoping to go into labor on my own though and if I do the hospital is literally 10 minutes away so I'll be laboring at home until I feel like my body is telling me it's almost time to push. Even if that means my bf has to park right infront and run inside to get someone out to get me. hahah. I don't want an iv or drugs I want it myself but I also want to give birth at a hospital we will see how my plan goes.
I plan on it! I hated being in the hospital with my first. They were so inhibiting and in my way. Unfortunately I had to be in the whole time because I was induced against what I wanted. This time I will be going in only when I hit transition because from there I don't have much time left and I birth quickly. Basically, you know you've hit transition when you start doubting yourself and the contractions are coming on so many at a time that you're body is overwhelmed with wave after wave of them. I birthed my daughter in under 4 hours from my first contraction with the last 1.5 hours being in transition. We will see what happens this time but a good friend of mine had a nick of time experience getting to the hospital and birthing her baby before the paperwork was even signed. I'm hoping that will be me ;)
I can't once my labour starts I completely dialate and deliver very quickly I have to get to the hospital right away. But I could see it being a lot more comfortable at home.
I feel like thats what my hospital is making me do now but its actually more comfortable because im not confined to my bed like I was with my son
