I'm 34 weeks and haven't planned on doing the class. How many have done it or haven't? I'm getting an epidural so do I need to?

I'm planning on getting an epidural also but I did the classes just to get more information. The classes were much different than what everyone has talked about.... very informative about everything from pregnancy, labor, delivery, post partum, newborn care... certainly not necessary but I just feel better prepared knowing what to expect and what options.I have

U have to ask them to tweak the epidural so u don't feel the pressure.  That what I did right before it was time to push and I didn't feel a thing!!  I mean I felt baby coming out, but no pain whatsoever!!!

I had the epidural and still felt a lot of pain, but breathing for it is natural. I took no classes and was comfortable with how I reacted. I wish I didn't do the epidural, but that's me.

Yep, I never took any classes with my first pregnancy or this one.  I can tolerate the contractions of active labor and then I can get the epidural.  So yea, don't need it, I'll be fine..

I'm not doing it. Talked to my sisters and they said it's a waste of money. Plus around here they are over $100 for each class.

I did it simply because I am a first time mom and just wanted to get as much help as possible. I suggest it because they don't just teach you things about giving birth but also how to care for a newborn baby after they are born. It is really helpful and opens your eyes to alot

I didn't with my first cuz I heard it's a waste of $ and time....when you're In pain it's doubtful you'll remember the stuff or you just do what ever is comforting at the time. I don't regret not doing it cuz with the epidural I felt nothing.
