I take women's one a day and the generic iron capsules. I've had low iron for most of my pregnancy but I've found taking the iron tablet every other day and trying to increase iron intake in my diet has helped to avoid constipation.

I wouldn't take extra either my OB actually took me off the extra iron because they cause constipation he and a nutritionist have told me to eat foods high in iron like cereals I would see what you can eat to supplement the iron fruits veggies grain
Prenatals have plenty of iron in them. Taking too much iron might make you feel sick. I wouldn't take an extra iron supplement unless your doctor has told you to.
