Looking for Post CSection Information

I know this is an "I'm expecting" app but I really need some help/information.

I had an unexpected csection on Monday the 13th which resulted in my beautiful baby girl being brought into my life. The information I'm looking for is how everyone felt after their csection. In terms of physically and emotionally. I'm just not sure if what I'm feeling is normal or not.

Please help me out ladies!

I Totally agree Madena. My husband is amazing at doing things knowing I shouldn't be doing a lot. He goes back to work Monday so I'll have to step it up just a little

I had a C section after 25 hours of labor. I had pretty rough depression afterwards. I had to force myself to eat, cried every time I saw my husband for almost two weeks (no idea why), and just wasn't happy in general. I was told by a friend you're more likely to have post partum depression with  a C section especially if you were in labor due to the hormones not getting released when you vaginally push your child out.

Physically I was sore for a couple weeks, then had random stabbing pains around the incision for around 2 months.

I'm not sure about why your back would hurt unless your spinal block was done incorrectly. I never had any pain and still don't but i know several people on here who have.

For the swollen legs/feet, you should get those compression socks. They sell them at all the major pharmacies and they will help keep the swelling down.

I could only walk very very slowly small steps. Bleed for 3 weeks. Took pain killers for about 10 days post surgery. Slowly walked more but took 3weeks to walk more normal then after that still 6 weeks before I could ride a bike without pain maybe longer

You should call in the grandparents!   Or your siblings or cousins or whoever you like and trust to have around.   A girlfriend who still has vacation days.....  Whomever!   ;)  If you ask, they will come! (Everyone loves a baby!) Good luck.  I hope you feel better soon!  ♡☆♡☆♡

It's hard for me to get out of bed, off a chair, in and out if the car. If it's not where the incision is that hurts it's my back. My back has been unbearable and it's to the point where it makes me nauseous. My legs and feet are still very swollen and that shows no end anytime soon.
Those are the things I'm experiencing susamor.

My husband is also very supportive and helpful dani0314 but unfortunately he goes back to work Monday and I'll be with my daughter all day ago will only be a week old. And I also have a dog who is still iffy about the fact that we have brought someone else home with us. So I'm pretty stressed.

It was hard to get out of bed the first week and i was on pain relievers 24/7 for a straight month. If they gave you pain meds, take ALL of them. There is a reason they give you that many trust me. And yes very sleep deprived but it all depends on how well your baby is sleeping. And my husband helped me a lot when it was unbearable. If you have any other specific questions, feel free to ask :)

What do you wonder is not normal? For me, the first week was a lot of pain in incision area and hard to move around since my feet were so swollen. I wasn't even all there mentally, i was on pain relievers. Felt anxious at times. And a bit sad that it was physically hard to take care of my baby and myself at the same time. Felt very dizzy because i lost a lot of blood. Very sleep deprived. Lots of blood but each day it lessened. Hope this helps you and congrats:)
