Losing weight in third trimester?

Was wondering if this is normal or not.  I had only gained a total of 9 lbs this pregnancy putting me at 167. That was confirmed at my last ob appt last week.  I weighed myself this morning only to find that I'm back down to 164. I weigh myself at the same time every week and same time of day so that's not the issue. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else. 3 lbs in a week seems like a lit of weight to lose, especially since i just turned 28 weeks today.

Most likely your baby is eating it up. Don't stress, just ask your doctor to be safe.

I wasn't overweight before i got pregnant so the weight lost doesn't make sense. I'm not sick at all either and eating normal.

Usually the concern comes when we get to sick and lose weight, especially at the beginning. Generally they want to see weight gain during the pregnancy bc its a sign the baby is growing and your fluids are increasing. But if your baby is measuring growth then s/hes growing.
A lot of women who are overweight lose throughout their pregnancy because they begin eating healthy and exercising.
My dr said weight can fluctuate a few lbs due to water retention or loss so I wouldnt worry if your measurements have been normal.

I lost weight in the first trimester, gained in the second, and now am losing again in the third. My ob said my weight was fine as long as i kept gaining which is why I'm concerned, especially losing 3 pounds in one week.

If u Google it it will say some women drop a few pounds at the end don't worry about it. Say to doc if it's on your mind but don't stress over it.
I only started gaining about 26 weeks so I doubt I'll lose any at end but if u put on in first trimester I wouldn't worry about losing some on the last x

Ive been losing weight slowly recently (34 weeks) but baby is growing on track. I only gained 18 lbs... havent puked once and i think its because its so hot im drinking more water and juice, plus eating colder foods like salads, fruits, crab sushi, and hummus/veggies...
I wouldn't worry if the dr isnt concerned.

You should definitely ask your doctor about that but I read somewhere not to worry to much because your baby will take from you whatever he or she needs.
