Lumbar Herniation & Pregnancy

Hi all! I am newly pregnant with my 4th child and now have back issues to go along with it. I have a herniated L5-S1 from 18 months ago that no longer causes pain but still causes numbness in my leg. I do have 3 other bulges and arthritis in my spine as well. Any moms out there go through this? How did your pregnancy go and were you able to find any relief? I am so scared to be on bedrest from this all.....

I don't have this problem, but I am a massage therapist. It is going to be vital for you to get regular massage during your pregnancy especially with the added weight and strain on your lower back. Hip flexors, gleuts, lower back muscles are key to keeping your spine healthy and without further injury during your pregnancy.  Hope this helps!
