Mat leave

When did you ladies take mat leave? I took mat leave with my first at 35 weeks and a week later I had my baby boy. This time I'm not sure when to take it , I work in management for a clothing store and is constantly on my feet. Iv had three uti in the last six weeks witch have caused contractions for me. Iv asked my dr when I should take it and he's like you will know when to take it but it not a clear answer I need. I have to find a replacement for the year that I'm gone but it hard to find a replacement when I don't know when I'm taking it

I plan on working until my due date. My job is pretty easy though I work at a desk and I'm never on my feet. I want to spend most of my leave with my baby!

I took mine at 39 weeks and will probably do the same thing when this one is born. I want to spend most of my maternity leave with my baby. If I go early Ill loose time. As long as I don't need to be on bed rest I'm fighting my way thru working as much as I can for as long as I can

I work a 70 to 80 hour week as well with 90 % of that on my feet. We get 6 weeks maternity leave so I really hope I can work untill the very end so I can be home with my baby as long as possible.

I was working full time as a CNA in a nursing home (constant standing walking lifting bending straining etc) until my midwives made me stop working at 38 weeks because my blood pressure was up and my ankles were hugely swollen (as in couldn't take my work shoes off for a couple hours after getting home and putting my feet up). The longer you can wait beforehand the longer you can stay home afterward so I stuck it out as long as possible and my son was born right on time at 40w1d 9lbs 23in and healthy as a horse.

I'm 29 weeks and there's a lot of work with stock and visual changes as well as the stupid manikins, but I do have a great group of girls that help me out a lot but still have no time to sit down and rest when I need to.

With my first I worked up until the day before I was induced.   Hope I can do the same with this one.

When I turned eight months when I just couldn't take it anymore. When I went back to visit they said I look way better because I'd stress at work plus I was anemic. Glad I got time to rest and get better
