Thx ladies for the info! I'm in WA but can see that we really need to move to a different country... seriously! So it sounds like I should be plan to return after 6 or 8 weeks.
Ya I live in canada too. I'm thinking all you mom should move here! Lol
I'm up for that move too!
NY you're screwed!
Under 50 employees they can't fire you but they don't have to pay either. You are allowed 4 weeks disability at max $170. A week, you may use your own accrued sick/vacation. FMLA legally allows 6-12 weeks without pay.
Luckily I've got 3 weeks and my boss offered to match the 170 for the other 3 weeks.
9 months off with 80% of pay
Its official ....I am moving to another country
In ireland u get 26 weeks maternity leave.most employers pay u in full, then u can take 16wks unpaid maternity and then unpaid parental leave of 90 days aswell.if u can afford the unpaid leave.
Lol!!! Me too! Hahaha! I live in California, most girls I work with take a ull 16 weeks a combination of pregnancy disability leave and than child bonding/paid family leave. I can't afford that so I only take 6 weeks leave. I don't get paid my full wages and theirs a 1 week waiting period before benefits begin. By time things get squared away, I am usually already back at work. Not sure where your at, but definitely save money for the time your off. Better to be safe than sorry.
Where are you? We get 9 months of maternity leave plus three months of parental leave. I live in Alberta Canada.
Fmla is 12 weeks no pay unless ur employer offers it like mine does 6weeks full pay for natural 8 weeks full pay for c section but thats place to place and that law only applies to places of 50 or more employees and probably need to be there for a yr and have so many hrs worked talk to ur hr dept. But start saving now everything u can cuz u probly will have less or no pay at some point during ur leave
6 weeks if vaginal and 8 weeks for csection. Can take longer using FMLA but that's unpaid
I got 8 to 12 wks depending on when the Dr released me back to work. The first 6 wks at 70% my pay and the remaining time at 50% basically I was full-time 30 hours so I got 30 hours with my pay being 7 an hour since I usually made 10 then it went down to 5 an hour. Every workplace is different
6 weeks with a vaginal delivery or 8 weeks with a c-section delivery. I believe you can us fmla which is good up to 12 week at 2/3 your pay. Anything after that you have to use your pto. I'm in MD, not sure how other states are.
I get 9 months pay at 90% of my wage im from the uk
I get 4 weeks before baby arrives and 6 weeks after I live in Ca
6 weeks if you have baby vaginal. 8 wks for csection. That's what it is in iowa. I had a c section and at my 6 wk check up she said if I didn't want to go back at 8 weeks she would right me a dr note! Lol I went back!
