In my opinion you have to weigh the risks...say you have a home birth and something goes wrong...like a emergency csection is needed for w.e reason but youre a half hour away....then something happens youd have to live with that..i saw that movie along time ago but i know of midwives delivering in hospitals ithink thats a great alternative because youre at the hospital in case...
that is true I am just scared of there being a decision made at the hospital that I have no control over..
I'm doing a hospital birth i'm high risk due to my heart problem so i have to be monitored
Im having my second schedueled csection....the only thing id make known is not to use ghe forcepts or vacuum because id rather have a csection...g.l though in the end its your choice i just know it wouldnt work for me
Midwife in hospital for me
I was really surprised on how unaware I was about midwives I never even knew about them until this movie
I don't think home birth is even an option. I'm in Michigan and I think my insurance wouldn't cover it. The documentary was good. It made a ton of sense. I took a birthing class in the hospital and they barely touched on all natural birth. They assumed we all wanted epidurals.
thank you ! That is exactly how I feel. I am a first time mom and I am scared of the birth process and I don't want to have something happen or some drug given to me because of the hospitals protocol and not what's in the best interest
I see a midwife and birth in the hospital. I have had a forceps birth. He is 3 years old with zero issues. The documentary while informative is biased. Yes, it is a business, but, whether you visit an ob or a mw someone is getting paid.
I also have had 3 inductions all for medical reasons, have had a fetal death, but, no issues with anything at l&d.
