Monistat...??

Yeast infection, was told by my dr to use the OTC monistat treatment to treat it... I've used it for 3 nights in a roll now, why does it hurt/burn so much..?? Anyone else have this happen to them???

I have burning with and without monistat. It suks!! I almost don't want to do it anymore, but I know I have too. This is my 3rd pregnancy and I've never had one before. I will try the yogurt like u suggested, I've read about it but wasn't too sure about doing it. I've also emailed my dr in hopes that she can maybe prescribe something..? Thanks :)

Is it the monistat that's burning???  I usually use the 7 day treatment just to be thorough.  I'm sorry hun yeast infections are like death!  I'm thinking because you are usually more inflamed and sensitive now anyway it makes the situation worse, and if you've had sex too that can make it worse too from friction.

You should try this get plain Greek yogurt and fill a tampon applicater with it and freeze it for like 15 minutes.  The probiotics will help rebalance you and the cooling will help with the discomfort.  Its very cold at first but really helps!  Use a pad or pantiliner to save your undies.
