My Birth Story
(: on Monday September 1st 2014 around 10 my boyfriend hit a speed bump and I wet my pants or so it felt like. I called my mom up to get some advice on whether or not I should go to the doctor. After being sent home Saturday night 1cm dilated my hopes were kinda low. She assured me that my water had broken and I should go to the ER. Once there I was constantly let down being told that my water hadn't broken because the discharge coming from me was yellowish green. They wanted to keep me over night because with every contraction my baby was in distress, her heart rate would dropped significantly. They tested the fluid I was leaking and the test came back positive that my water had indeed broken, and the reason the fluud was the yelkowish green color was because tbe baby (being over due by 5days) had already made her first bowel movement inside the womb. I was so excited I was admitted and monitored all night.
Around 8oclock the following morning my doctor came in and told me that the baby would not be able to descend correctly so our best option was a C-section, I wasnt scared or anything I was just so ready to meet her I didn't care how she got here. They took me into the OR and numbed me up, once inside the doctor realized why she was in distress the umbilical cord was wrapped not only around her neck but around her arm too. I'm so lucky that she came out healthy. At 9:24am September 2, 2014 I gave birth to a 6lb 8oz 18in beautiful little girl (: and my life hasn't been then same since. <3
