Oh yeah that's another thing. ..my daughter will only sleep on her tummy. It helps get the gas out. Try putting your son on his tummy and give him a pacifier with soothing music. Gets my daughter to sleep every time. If she's laying on her back, the gas wakes her up. Her pediatrician said its perfectly safe for babies to sleep on their tummies.
sounds like colic my baby had it when he was born I definitely know the feeling gas drops help but they told me he had to grow out of it but I took him a bath n let him lye on his stomach to get the air out not sure how helpful this will be but it worked for me this was years ago also I'll pray for you I know this can be a difficult time
Bouncing helps a lot. Just hold your baby and bounce. That always makes my daughter feel better.
My daughter is also on enfamil prosobee. ..helps with her gas.
I give my daughter the little remedies drops before and after she eats. She's doing so much better than before. She user to scream for hours but now she's pretty ok. Maybe cries for 30 minutes until i get the gas out. Feed her in an upright position and burp after every ounce
I used mylacon with my first two and will also use it with this one. Works great! After administering lay baby on his stomach across your knees and rub the lower back. Sounds like gas you may have to consider changing the formula you use. Consult with your pediatrician before switching though. Good luck;)
Yes gas drops and switch formulas to a soy my daughter has protein allergies and colic! It was horrible! U will get threw this! Just handle business! And take shifts with someone so u don't go crazy! My dad used to come spend the night and watch her threw the night and when I would wake up he would leave to sleep and if I needed him the next night he was there! People will help u if u ask!
5 and 6 pm is the start of witching hour with babies, well kids in general. My daughter started getting colic a month after being born when she was little and it always states at that time and lasted until 6 am most of the time. It went on for about a month. Just remember you can always lady the baby down while they are crying and give yourself a minute to compose your self. Good luck!!
if hes colic he'll also need to be on a soy based formula, that will help i would buy a small can and try it along with the gas drops. If u think it seems to help let his doctor know because if ur on wic you will need a doctors note to switch formula.
I know he already has an appointment but till than I needed advices..... no I'm not breast feeding and I will try some gas drop name Mylicon gas drops relief if anyone has tried it before comment thanks
How old is he?? My son is seven weeks, he has really bad colic and it can be super stressfull. When he was 4 weeks a friend of my moms said her son was the exact same way just cried constantly. Her Dr. told her to put a 1/2 tsp. of just plain baby rice in his bottle because maybe his milk either wasnt sitting quite right or not filling him up so tried and it really did help, he was like a completely different baby. Now he does still have colic and definitely has his fussy days but not nearly as bad. If yours is under 4 to 5 weeks tho i would definitely ask his doctor before trying it.
We already said.earlier.to make a.doctors.apt. he probably has.colic.
Mine was born fri and he has been fussy since yesterday. Its gas but im trying everything. Goodluck jus dont get stressed
Take him to the er or give him gas drops
He could be entering a growth spurt. Babies cry more frequently during these periods. Try cuddling and swaddling. Also, make sure he has symptoms for the medicines you are giving. It's not good to give medicine just because he cries. It can irritate him more and he'll cry more. Good luck.
Maybe he is gassy or colicky. If he is try putting him on his tummy and rubbing his back gently or put him on his back and slowely putting his knees towards his chest (like a squat position) that should help him let out gas.
He may have gas or colic... Try gas drops
