THANK YOU SOOO MUCH really so many ppl trying push me to the bottle if my milk didnt come down even some rns at the hospital saying I should starve the baby and I can rotate from powder milk to breathe
Even woman who leak in pregnancy are not actually leaking from a high milk supply, more so due to hormones. The first few days after birth, you will have no milk supply. Your body makes what is called, colostrum!! It's absolutely and most certainly all your baby will need. Many woman feel the need to supplement with formula, right after birth..thinking their baby is on a hunger strike and only crying due to hungry. Actually babies aren't born hungry, they cry for many reasons, not just hunger. Try not to supplement!!! Continue latching your baby on the breast as soon as possible, your baby is getting some nutrition from the colostrum that no formula could possibly provide!! A true immune system boost!! After anywhere from 3/5 days you will begin getting your milk supply. You feed on demand, listen to your baby...no need to clock between feeding, as they are not formula fed, no schedule needed!! They feed on demand when they want to. Your milk will increase as your baby's needs do, you supplement and your possibly losing that great supply. Your body will make all the breast milk your baby will need but continue to exclusively breastfeeding!! I am expecting my 7th, first four were breastfed up to 6 months, I then pumped and introduced a bottles of breast milk due to new work schedules, my other two a breast fed, over 12 months. I just weaned my 14 month old, as a matter of fact!! I am due in October!! Any more questions, here and open to help!!?? Congratulations!!
I have the same problem due on the 20th. They will induce me on the 24th if baby doesnt arrive. I havent had any milk leakage either but i heard its normal. It will come when needed. :)
Because not everyone leaks before giving birth. I never did but had no problem latching my son immediately after his birth and nursing him for two years after that.
