Yesterday morning around 4 am I started having Braxton hicks. I eased the pain by using an exercise ball and took a warm bath around 8 am. I couldn't get comfortable so I went to my doc office at 10 am to get checked. To my surprise I was actually in real labor! She could feel my bag of water and I was 9.5 centimeters dilated just walking around. My contractions were not very painful, they just felt like menstrual cramps only a bit more intense pain wise. I get checked into the delivery room and they break my water, by this time I'm 10 centimetres dilated. She inserts a couple fingers and realized baby girl is beech, so I ended up having to have an emergency c-section. I started getting teary eyed as I never thought about having one. I received my epidural and was numbed from the waist down. By now it's 11:40 they made an incision and my Angel was born at 11:56am. Her cry was beautiful and she is just gorgeous! I'm on pain meds, so having a c-section was not as bad as I'd thought for those of you who will end up needing one. She weights 6'5lbs and is 18 inches long.Baby was born healthy and I'm doing well. Good luck to you ladies and I pray safe deliveries for baby and a speedy recovery! :-)
