My princess has made her grand entrance :-D

Katiana Mackenzie was born on August 21 at 4:58pm. She weighed 5lbs 11oz and 18ins long.

My birth story:
As some of you know that I was placed on modified bed rest in my 26th week for the duration of my pregnancy due to preterm labor symptoms. All seemed to have been going well for the most part, aside from the occasional l&d visit for PTL symptoms, until my 36 week appointment, at which time I found out that I was starting to lose weight. Doctor decided to preform an ultrasound to check her growth. It was then discovered that she was no longer growing like she had been, she was now in the 10th percentile. He ordered another ultrasound for the following week to see if she grew any more or if she was still measuring small. If she was then we would discuss me being induce before my due date because he felt she would do better on the outside rather then in the inside. Also at that appointment he started me on twice weekly NST. At my 37 week appointment he let me know that he decided that it would be best to induce me and that he would schedule it for August 21, when I turned exactly 38 weeks. At 8am on the 21st I checked into l&d, 8:30am they start me on pitocin, 8:45am doctor broke my water, 10am I received my epidural, 4:58pm my beautiful little princess makes her grand entrance after pushing for about 10 minutes. She would have been pushed out sooner but she was face up and had her cord wrapped around her neck twice, both of these things make the delivery stage extremely difficult. Hubby was still able to catch her and cut her cord with the doctor's assistance. The doctor was able to unwrap the cord before I pushed out her body. Thankfully the doctor  didn't tell me about her cord or her facing up until after they cleaned her up and handed her to me, otherwise I might been freaking out more. I did end up with a 1st degree tear and only needed one stitch. We're both doing well get to go home tomorrow.
