I like taking the ambien vs the others with antihistamines in them b.c it doesn't leave you with a hangover feel the next morn
@extreme, can you dr give you something like ambien to sleep until you go into labor? Mine said it's absolutely perfectly safe to take this late on. Also, tylenol pm or benedryl is allowed as well!
It definitely gets worse like ashleyb1221 said... I am 39 + 5 and sleeping is basically impossible and quite painful... I would kill for some medication to help.
Unfortunately it just gets worse the bigger your baby gets. I'm 37+5 and I haven't slept without medication in almost 2 wks. I have the most amazing body pillow and I prop up part on my headboard then a pillow behind my head, then I lay on my right side with my butt lifted onto the side of the pillow and then I wrap the rest btwn my 2 legs and put it under my stomach for a bit of support. It helps as much as possible at this point. Bit the ambien is the only thing that actually allows me to sleep for more than 1hr
I feel your pain! I'm 33wks tomorrow & i've tried a variety of positions with pillows & nothing seems to work unless everything is just right. Unfortunately, that sometimes takes all night. I'm tossing & turning with sore hips, which leads into the morning time after waking. The best position I've found was laying on my side with pillows in between my legs & pillows oroping me up at my back. Good luck!
Thank you ladies for your responses I definitely tried a pillow seemed to help a bit
Body pillow for in between knees, legs and firm pillow for head. Idea is to keep your bones aligned. Sometimes by favorite position is where I am slightly on my stomach but also on my side if that makes sense? Laying in my right side I will wrap my left leg around the pillow and my right leg straight turned into the bed. Sorry you're in pain I feel it!
I can definitely relate! I'm 30wks 6days & I cannot get comfortable. I even sleep with a body pillow and my hips/ribs hurt, especially on my left side, which is my favorite side to sleep on... I'm looking forward to my c-section on May 4th!
Putting a pillow between your legs? Where your knees are. Im uncomfortable as well. I wake up sore as hell. Try a warm bath before bed.
