Natural remedies for constipation?

As pregnancy symptoms go, I think I've had it fairly mild. At though moment though I'm struggling with constipation. I have a constant feeling of pressure, like I need to go to the loo, but if I go and push even lightly I end up with minor haemorrhoids. Does anyone have any natural remedies?

Yeah I agree with the others, I had several constipation a few weeks ago. High river foods and lots of it, and lots of water. I found figs, and dates helpful to add to my snacks, figs ate yummy and very high in river... Also the doctor said at the first sign of constipation try drinking 8-12 glasses of water a day. A few times a week I take a 3L jug of water to work with me and drink it throughout the day ... If you haven't gone in a while, the doctor had recommend to me to have 3 glasses of medamucil. Morning, lunch, and dinner, just for one day, and then things would start moving, then to continue with the natural high river, lots of healthy fruits and veggies, and lots of water diet.

Cherry tart juice (3 oz) or Cherries but not more than 10-12 based on the size (too many can cause cramping and could lead to contractions). Feel better soon.
