Nausea

I am 8 weeks pregnant, and for the past week i have had nausea all day and night (though no vomiting, praise the lord). I find it so hard to prepare food or deal with smells or even look at food. The only time i dont feel nauseated is when i am actually eating food! My job is in carework, so i have to deal with perso.al hygiene and food prep..... And i am SOOOOOO tired! I cant tell my boss yet because two of my colleagues have just announced they are pregnant and i dont want him to meltdown (i am a manager also, so its going to be a major headache). We are in the midst of recruiting and i want to wait until the new staff are on boardbefore i tell him.

Any tips on surviving the next few weeks? We really do have a staffing nightmare atm and i cant afford to take time off... In fact i cant seem to even not do overtime since i have to be on call and handle emergencies.

Please help?!???!!!! So sick of feeling sick!

Good hints evetyone, thank you! Ive been trying so hard to be healthy and avoid sugar and sweetners, but i think avoiding nausea has to be a higher priority right now!

Try Preggie Pop Drops or Gin-Gins (ginger hard candies), they did not take away my nausea but it did help.  I found them at Babies r Us and Amazon.  I am sure they are sold elsewhere but can be hard to find.   They also make special acupressure bracelets similar to ones that help with sea sickness.  Not sure if they work but it does not hurt to try.  Hope you feel better soon.

I've no personal experience with nausea but everyone I know says nibbling on ginger biscuits helps with nausea. Also eating little but often is rumoured to help
