Thrombosed Hemorrhoids?

I am 31 weeks and have been suffering from thrombosed hemorrhoids the dr (not obgyn) has suggested I go to the ER to get it nipped and drained. I requested medication so she provided me a steroid suppositories Anucort along with stool softeners. I noticed it had def reduced the swelling of it but I am wondering if I will need to absolutely go in and get it removed before labor.. As I am assuming with normal delivery it could only get worse. I really do NOT want to go under the knife im terrified i heard it is a very painful experience. Have any of you experience this?

Ive been using Tucks pads along with the steroid and ice packs.. I pray it just goes away...

Take some type of laxative or something that helps u soften during ur pregnancy as they can grow very big. Mine got as big as a peach. I was in so much pain. I hope u don't go thru that. But it was all the pushing. They got smaller after but still they were there until I removed them.

I had thrombosed hemmerhoids also. The pain stopped and they decreased in size after two weeks. After I gave birth, they did return. In my opinion, I would just wait until after because you will probably just get new ones anyways.

B4 pregnancy I had some removed by banding them. It was uncomfortable but it's an outpatient procedure at the doc office. Although one of the side effects was bleeding. I didn't have any. I had 3 removed, one at a time, 2 weeks inbetween. It hurt for a day then I was fine. They band then n the hemorrhoid dries n falls off. It was the best thing I every had done. The pain was gone. I got them during my previous pregnancy n it was horrible for me. So pain full so I wanted to take care of them b4 i got pregnant again. Now I'm ok. But if ur going to have surgery consider this method it's a lot less painfuk. Especially cuz if u have them surgically removed u won't be able to sit n will have to be on ur belly. A friend of mine had it done but she wasn't pregnant. She was in so much pain. My experience was nothing compared to hers. Good luck with this.
