Not sure about working out. I know you have to take it easy for a few months. I've heard of people over duing it and splitting there insition  back open. Now sex it's 6 to 8 weeks.

It's about 6-8 weeks to workout. I asked my Dr. if I could at least walk, slowly. She said that was fine but not to push myself. So, 2 weeks after my section I walked (strolled on the treadmill...lol). She also said since it was not a vaginal birth sex was up to me and when I felt comfortable. I had no restrictions. I probably waited 4 weeks or so until I felt comfortable with how I healed/soreness.

That is going to take a while. Cuz the cut may look like it heal but it takes a very long time to heal from the insides (months) if u don't give it enough time to heal u may get a hernia. Then ull need surgery again. But it's best to let ur doc make the decision of when ur ready. I had a cyst removed from an ovary a few years ago thru my belly button. It was a total of 3 incisions n went back to exercise in 6 weeks n got a small hernia in my belly button. It still hasn't closed but since it's small doc thought I should just leave it alone. Now with this pregnancy it's gotten bigger but they can't do anything until after delivery.

You have had MAJOR SURGERY. I made the mistake of getting back into things before my body had properly healed (4 weeks after c-section). 5 years later I am still having problems. Because I hadn't given my stomach muscles (abdominals) time to knit back together properly I have a small pouch. I also still get pain during sex. Please remember, You have had major surgery and the more time you allow your body to heal the stronger it will be. good luck

You definitely would want to wait until after 6 to 8 weeks of getting physically active again. Even then, you still need to consult with your doctor or physician to examine your recovery process before proceeding to workout.
