Newborn Travel
I am due October 15th. My sisters wedding is the 25th.....any suggestions on traveling with a newborn only a few days old? This is my first child. Would my body be able to handle being in a wedding?
depends on how far you have to go. As far as being in the wedding, everyone is different. I physically was fine two or three days after my daughter was born. If you have a csec, I'm not sure about that recovery- I think you have to stay in the hospital longer? So if you were overdue abd had to have a csec, (we are talking worst case scenario) I'm not sure you'd be out of the hospital in time.
Also talk to the pediatrician you choose to make sure you take all precautions for baby.
How far do you have to travel? If you are taking a plan wipe everything in your seat area down with baby wipes and keep you baby covered with a nursing cover as much as possible. Baby will have none of their shots and it will be very dangerous if he or she catches something. Also wait to buy tickets...bc you could deliver up to 2 weeks late making it so you couldnt go :-/
