No feeling of kicks :(

So I'm 16wks and 3days . I'm having a girl and everyone keeps asking me do you feel her kicking yet? I'm like no I feel nothing.. I've had ultra sounds and she's moving around like crazy in there my dr even said you don't feel that ? As we watched her kick off the side of my uterus I'm all nope I see her doing it on the screen but I don't feel her . The apps I have say it's called quickening and will feel like flutters. I know she's there but I just wish I could feel her.. Any thoughts and is this normal? I'm almost 5 months now .. Ps I'm also a first time mom.

I'm 36 weeks now with my first but I didn't feel him until 20 weeks but it's all about where they are positioned too.  My placenta is in the front of my uterus so I ever felt flutters or anything small with the placenta acting like a cushion.  When I finally felt my lil man it was full on kicks.
