confused about mucous plug!!!

I'm 38w 5d now and had my doc's appt yest and all went well and we had my dilation checked but after that since last night I have been loosing brown mucousy discharge which looks like mucous plug to me but I want to know is it only once you loose that plug or you keep loosing it coz I have experienced this discharge twice since last night without any other signs of discomfort.

I lost my mucus plug at 28 weeks, 31 weeks, and again last Monday at 35 weeks. Can lose in bits, all at once, but by our body will make more. Imagine my surprise as a ftm lossing it and freaking out. I've been reassured it reproduces!

The plug can regenerate throughout your pregnancy. I have had brown discharge for ab 2 days following my last 2 dilation checks, it's pretty common. I lost some of my plug last Friday which got me all excited but here I am a week later still prego.

Spotting and discharge is normal after an internal exam.

Idk about the mucus plug but I do no every time I get my cervix checked I bleed alil and it gets darker then stops
