so my doctors assistant called about my blood work, and said my progesterone levels are low and i ask is that good or bad and she doesn't give me a answer!!!! She just says that the doctor is going to proscribe me prometrium.. So I research the medicine and I have mix feelings about it because it has only been used on a few pregnant humans but they have tested it on animals and there fetus had no problems. OK 1. IM 6 WEEKS 2. THOSE ANSWERS ABOUT THE MEDICINE WAS NOT reassuring. .. Has anyone had low progesterone and what did you do?

I've been taking 200mg of prometrium everynight since I found out at 4 weeks I'm currently 9 weeks my dr wants me to take them until 16 weeks. I was prescribed them because I had two miscarraiges in a row both at 5-5 1/2 weeks and they think it may have been due to low progesterone.

I'm going to call my doctor to see if medicine necessary or can I use natural remedies

I think it will be okay. I'm having my levels checked for the sane reason. That medicine should help your levels stay normal so baby can grow.

If you're so skeptical about it I would just ask to talk to my doctor so that all of your questions get answered. You don't want to just put drugs in your body if you're not comfortable
