Ok Tmi . Cracked nipples ?

Ok do my baby's 5 days old today & I've been breastfeeding . My nipples are SEVERLY cracked . Bleeding scabbing ECT. Any of you mommies on here know of anything I can do to help the healing process ? I've been speaking with a Lactationist and she has me only pumping right now . She said my nipples should have healed after 48 hrs and they still havnt . I've been using lanolin & also she prescribed be Bactroban it's an antibiotic ointment . But omg they hurt soooo bad and I feel like there not getting any better . I really want to get back to nursing before she gets to used to the bottle so if anybody has any advice I could use it all !!!

It took 2 weeks for mine to heal. It was so bad that my son threw up my blood and I freaked out and rushed him to the Dr. It gets better don't give up. It really is rewarding and creates such a bond once you get past this.
