Opinions about the boy name we've picked out.

Hello all. So, my husband and I love unique names and we decided on Zion (pronounced ZY - on) because we love the meaning "heaven on earth". My hubby doesn't want a middle name with it bc he thinks it's too strong of a name by itself. Do you agree? Also, do you think the name is too unusual that he will get teased for it? We really love that name though. Comments and opinions will help.

My friend named her son Tycho and gave him the middle name Alexander so he'd have options if he didn't like having such a unique name.

Its a popular name I think. 2 of my friends had little boys named Zion last summer and another friend at our old base had a little boy name Zion as well.I like it. My girls name will be Zara.

Thank you everyone! We are from New Jersey and it's very rare to hear up here. I actually haven't heard anyone with that name here come to think of it. It's interesting that you've heard girls with that name since it sounds masculine in my opinion,  but to each their own. :)

I really like the name... My only thing with a middle name is it comes handy when you want to be stern when they get older... It works like a charm with my 3 year old Lol

It's cute! I've heard some "unique "names that make you face palm. If you really want a middle name maybe a really short one(2-3 letter middle name) to not over power the first name. As long as you're both happy that's all that matters! ☺

Its a really nice name and it doesnt matter if u have a middle name or not. I wonder where ur from? Because thats actually a common name in some parts of America. Ive heard it a bit. But i guess it depends on where u are

The name is nice it doesn't matter what people think if your happy about it then that's what matters.. No matter what kids are gonna find a way to pick on each other so don't worry about that... I have a lot of people questioning the name we picked out and honestly I don't care besides the meaning of the name there's more to the name we choose.. Be happy with your dision and if your not to sure you can always use it as a middle name
