I've never done hospital birth but I def left my obgyn when we were ttc cause she kept trying to get me to take clomid & I refused. We tried for 2 yrs & finally I did an herbal tea mixture, drank it for a month & got pregnant the next month. Anyway... my husband & I were definitely not fans of the shoving medication down my throat approach so we sought out a midwife. I love her so much! She is pretty much amazing.
I'm really hoping my baby is head down & ready to go so I can have my home birth. This baby turned breech at like 38 weeks then I got some chiropractor adjustments (webster technique) & baby turned head down at 39 weeks. And was still there a few days ago. So I hope this kid is still head down now. There are only 3 docs in a 60 mile radius that even know how to/are willing to deliver breech. S.ucks a.ss. I'd prefer NOT having a c section.
Home birth is amazing it's so much more laid back! Hospitals try to strike the fear of God into women to labor however easiest for the hospital staff! Really hoping for a home birth or birth center this go round!
CountryMomToBe if you are nearing labor you will soon get to enjoy your juice again! Best of luck with your delivery and congrats!
I'm having a homebirth & the handout actually encourages small healthy snacks in labor & ice, water, juices & laborade to drink. It just has no citrus in all caps... so I was kinda bummed, lol.
Gotcha! Well this makes me sad. Lol I love my orange juice!
Thanks!
Lots of places will only allow you water and ice while in labour just incase there is an emergency and you need surgery
I can relate to your frustration as I too love grapefruit juice.
Citrus juices tend to interact with a lot of medications, in particular those to deal with blood pressure. Its beat to avoid them in the event there is an emergency and medical intervention is needed
