Have any ladies here been diagnosed with PCOS? If so what drugs did they put you on and how long after taking drugs did you get pregnant?

I was on metformin and spirolactone. I had a high testerone level after my son was born, which was causing body hair and anger issues. But since i been pregnant my docs havent said anything about it.

I believe the pill was provera? It's ten days on and then after about three days, you usually start your period. I was about to start my second cycle of provera (you take it once every three months) when i got my first faint positive!

Google ttc with pcos. I did a diet of low carbs and sugar, took vitex (chaste tree berry) and exercised. Weight lifting is a GREAT way to help lose weight if you have pcos. Also, my dr put me on a pill to induce my period (the idea being that inducing your period will trick your body into ovulating). I am 40w1d with my second boy!

Before she would put me on any meds she wanted me to really try and lose weight... which I know is next to impossible.  But I was way strict on my diet and exercise and lost weight and then got pregnant. But ive heard lots of positive results with metformin!

I have pcos also they put me on metformin. Its supposed to be for diabetes but apparently it can help regulate your hormones making it easier to get pregnant. Once you have a confirmed pregnancy they switch you to something to aid with progesterone so the pregnancy will stick. I had issues with the metformin though and it can make you gain weight I just had to relax and not worry about it and surprising I got pregnant within 2 months first time and 4 months the second. Best of luck to you!!!
