Overcoming Anxiety About Miscarrying

What do you do to calm your worries about potentially miscarrying? I'm 7 weeks and have PCOS. I'm taking progesterone shots and the heartbeat and size were "really promising". Yet I still worry. Starting the Metformin again today too.

I think all new mama's whether they have different diagnosis or not always worry about miscarrying.  Counting the days until the 'safe time' after 13 weeks!  My thoughts are to try to stay busy.  Go places and do things.  This will help pass the time.  Sounds like your doctors are treating you medically with different medications.  There's nothing beyond that that anyone can do.  Don't treat yourself like you can't do anything because hyper focusing on the pregnancy will just make you more anxious.  Go on with your life and stay busy and the time will pass.  good luck hon

I have pcos and I have a two year old and I'm 33 weeks pregnant so it is likely you will be fine. Just take each day as it comes and try not to read into every cramp or twinge as you will drive yourself nuts x

I was sooo worried too hun and to top it off this physic lady told me i would miss carry at 8 or 9 weeks if i keep stressing ( idk y i called her) that made me stress even more so one day i woke up and said the devil is a lie! I prayed all day and everyday because i know in my heart God blessed me with my baby. Im 11weeks now and i no longer stress, i just keep praying to God and the lord. You will be ok.

I worry too! I'm only 8 weeks and haven't seen a doctor yet because they wouldn't see my so soon so I haven't even been able to check on my baby. I go to the doctor on Monday though. I think it's normally to be concerned. I pray that you have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. reading these comments above should ease your mind as it has for me. :)

I'm 7 weeks today and worry constantly about having another miscarriage (I dont have PCOS) and I had a bleeding scare a couple days ago. Everything is fine and I had an ultrasound done.

I find it reassuring to see my doctor frequently and I also requested HCG bloodwork every other day for a week to be reassured my levels were rising properly. Have you been booked for an early dating ultrasound? Try to enjoy your blessing and have faith everything will be ok. Women's bodies are meant for childbearing!!
