Pest control service

I just had pest control people come to spray at my house today. I totally forgot that it might have side effect to my little baby, especially I'm just 6 weeks pregnant. I read online they said the chemical will stop or slow down baby's development. Will it be that bad? I had no direct exposure to the chemical tho. I'm so worried.

I actually work for a pest control company.  The chemical is only harmful if you are exposed to it while it is wet. Like if you touched the wet chemical and didn't wash your hands. Normally, you are told to stay out of your residence for a certain number of hours to allow the chemical to dry. Once dry it is safe for all humans and pets,  and is only harmful to the pests.

I have dogs too and a 2 yr old and he said it's perfectly safe. Obviously I wouldn't let my son go play in the powder lol but he always sprays behind the sink and behind baseboards too. It's hard to even come.into contact with it.

Im hoping everything will be just fine for you. The next time that you have Pest control be sure to tell them to use organic chemicals. I had Pest Control when my son was an infant and that was recommended for them to use to be safe around him.

I wouldn't worry. What pests did they spray for? We have them come out too for spiders, ants,  wasps etc. They use a powder and he says just don't come into contact with the powder. He sprayed our basement heavy and told me not to go down there for an hr til the powder settled but that was cuz it was everywhere
