Pets..Can they sense labor?

I have a chiweenie and black cat and today they have both been super clingy to me. Neither of them will leave my side. I still have 33 days left till my due date but I wonder if they can sense when I will go into labor before I will?

Irishangel4 my cat has been doing the same thing. He puts his paws on my belly and puts his head on my tummy and purrs and purrs till he goes to sleep. Its the cutest thing.

Cnmartin1425 my dog will not get out of my lap if I'm laying down or sitting down. she is right there if I turn around and she follows me every where I go in the house lol.

Good Luck to you mommy's. I hope everyone has an easy safe delivery :)

I was talking about this the other day I think animals can sense that stuff. Ive heard about dogs sensing when you are about to go into labor. After all there are dogs that are trained to know when oeople are going to have seizures. The dog alerts the person so they can get to a safe place. My cat usually lays down by my legs in bed but recently she's been curled up next to my tummy while I lay on my side. She never used to lay against my tummy. I think she knows.
