Induction date

I have a drs appointment tomorrow and my due date is Saturday. Do you think he will give me an induction date if I still have not made any progress? Last appointment I still was not dilated at all.. I really don't want to be given another one week appointment id rather just be given a date to come in and get induced... What are the chances that hell do this?

My doctor doesn't induce either. They told me 38-42 weeks is considered normal and full term. So they would only induce me if I went past 42 weeks. Which ***** cuz I had my son at 42 weeks and had a ten lb baby and I don't want to go thru that again!

it really depends on your doctor. my.clinic won't set an induction date until 41 weeks or if medically necessary. there are all about allowing your body's natural processes to flow...but that's what I wanted so that's why I chose them. it really depends on your.doctor's philosophy

My due date was this past Monday.  I am being induced tomorrow.  I just told the doc im uncomfortable and he was able to schedule me. Depends on doc and if ur ready.  I am dilated and cervix is soft. Been having contractions for past week. they just stripped my membranes yest in hopes that my little man would come on his own but nothing yet!

Good luck to you both... almost there!  :-)

I'm due Saturday too and my midwife told me I'd have to wait another week to discuss being induced :(.
