Plz help!! Heartburn so bad!

Anything I eat gives me severe heartburn. Has anyone found anything that helps.. I know milk helps me but I can't always be somewhere and be able to drink milk. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Tums worked for me. They're safe during pregnancy so I'd pop em every time I got heartburn. And my doctor told me that eating less amounts in one sitting and more often throughout the day-6 times or so rather than 3-helps. It was hard for me to follow that guideline bc let's face it, I was pregnant and I'd just splurge lol... hope this helps. I'm sorry... heartburn *****:( my little guy is 4 wks old and has acid reflux and is just miserable:( I feel sooo bad!

Nothing was working for me, i swear water was even giving me heartburn. My doctor suggested prilosec for long term relief since everything else was only a temp fix.

I'm a Tums addict for just this reason! I even get heartburn from drinking water!! And more often than not, drinking milk doesn't help. I have found that drinking an 8 ounce glass of water with 1/2 tsp of baking soda dissolved in it helps too, in a pinch-but I definitely recommend you invest in a Costco sized container of tums...or two....

Prilosec or omperazole which is generic name works. I have to take it morning and night cuz I have heartburn so bad. That medicine is over the counter or you can have Dr get you a prescription for it if you have insurance that will pay.

you may just have to resort to getting something from your OB.. tums also works for, for now, but if it gets any worse I'll just get something from her! (((:
