Try not to stress, there are a lot of false positives. And remember those with down syndrome live very happy and full lives most of the time. Everything will work out.

I got a 1 in 70 mine would have Trisomy 18 so far the high risk Dr said it would be like a 1% chance she would have it. She looks good on the ultrasound from what she would show us we have to go back in 4 weeks for another ultrasound and waiting for blood results hopefully by the end of the week. They said most of the time they are false positive and try not to worry. We had the maternit21 done and that test is very accurate so I can't wait to hear from the Dr...... It's the same for down syndrome. Try not to stress.

Dont worry.  It's not  100% accurate. Only  way to know  for sure is testing the  amnio  fluid or finding out at birth. Those ranges they give you  are just stress inducers....I opted out of the test

If it was the regular quad screening, I've heard those have quite a high rate of false positives... something like 30%. My doctor doesn't even recommend having that test done. Ask for one of the DNA blood test - Panorama, Harmony, or MaterniT21 (there might be others) and those look at the baby's DNA so it's over 99% accurate, nearly impossible to get a false positive. Good luck momma, try not to stress.

I don't know the odds but my sister was told her son would be and he wasnt. It's not 100% it's just a chance that may be wrong. I chose not to have the test either way the baby will be born so why stress over something that may not be true. I pray you have better results on your next test.
