Mommy to be support groups? Meet ups?

Wondering if any of you ladies had any luck finding in person support groups, or maybe pregnant women activities? I'm looking for some kind of way to build a support network of fellow pregnant women, but am new to my area and lacking in the friend department.

Does anyone have any pregnancy classes worth reccomending/googling? Or know of a meet up type website that organizes groups like this in Florida?

If you are planning on breastfeeding you can join your local La Leche League group. They are in international support group for breastfeeding moms and moms to be. My Mom was a leader at her local chapter for a few years and I used to go to meetings with her to help tend to my little sister. I am going to join my local group when I get a little further along in my pregnancy. They also have a great website with tons of info. Good Luck!

I couldn't find one so I started my own. Go to meetup.com I had 50+ members in Chicago within 2 months all within a few blocks of me.

I'm in the exact same boat as you except I live in the middle of nowhere so it's so much harder to find these things. I wish you luck!
