Prednisone while pregnant.
Anyone taken prednisone while pregnant? I am 16w and have low platelets. I am really worried about the side effects. Mainly excessive weight gain and mood swings.
I had to take at 6 weeks for inflammation in my bad elbow from a previous break.
later found out I was not suppose to take abd can cause cleft palate/lip. My 20 weeks ultrasound showed my baby to be perfectly healthy. Hopefully I get to see him any day now!

I take it due to lupus. I have to take it. The side effects are only in the first trimester and my high Risk doctor said it's very rare. The pros out weigh the cons if you absolutely need it.
I took it for my asthma for only 3 days though. My ob office said that long term use during pregnancy had bad side effects so i would talk to them again
