Pregnancy and Changing Insurance

I am a student that just graduated, so my school insurance ends July 31st.  I plan on signing up for healthcare as soon as I can.  Has anyone else had to change insurance in the middle of pregnancy?  I'm 9 weeks today, and I'm just worried about how billing works if one company covers the beginning and another covers the end of my pregnancy.  I don't want to get stuck paying for everything.  :-/

You can sometimes get interim insurance like Cobra if you are waiting for job insurance to kick in. Its kinds pricey but its better than nothing.

It should be fine just make sure your healthcare provider knows the end date of the old insurance and the effective date of the next one. So if you say had an appt july 31st they can bill the old insurance. If you have an appt aug 1st then they would bill the new insurance. So as long as they know it should be ok it the same thing when an old insurance ends dec 31st of one year and new insurance starts jan 1st.
