Pregnancy test

I had a miscarriage on 2/22 and my HCG level is still at 10 as of April 8.  I did a urine test at the dr's office same day on April 8 with negative result.  Today, 4/13 I did a home pregnancy test and it's positive.  What's this mean?  is there a difference from the urine test given at the lab and urine test at home?

I went to the lab today 4/14, urine test was negative again and the hcg went down to 7.  I just don't know how EPT digital tested positive with hcg below 10.

I guess this is false positive home test then.

Thank you for the prayers and congrats on your new pregnancy.

I went to the lab just now and got negative on the urine test but I'm waiting for the hcg result.

the EPT digital test i used at home only detect 40 hcg and up so I don't know how i got a positive test - false alarm then.

PS. I really hope its a pregnancy for you!!!
Last year after my hcg had been normal for a couple of months I did a home test and it was positive and I was so upset because I thought I might need chemo now. However the 6 week scan showed a teeny tiny baby with a heart beat instead!!!
Praying that happens for you too!!

Go get tests from the doctor. If its going up and doubling every 2 days most likely pregnancy. If its still sitting around 10 then may be something worth investigating to make sure you can fall pregnant in the future.
I had a molar pregnancy (a type of miscarriage) over a year ago and spent an entire year having my hcg levels monitored and it stayed around the 15-20 mark for months, thank goodness it went down on its own eventually and I didn't need chemotherapy, I'm now 27 weeks pregnant!!

I used EPT digital test and I heard it requires a much higher amount of hcg in your urine to get a positive test.  Since my hcg was at 10 and the lab tested negative on April 8th, but today April 13 I tested positive at home then that might be a new pregnancy.  My HCG level should have gone down to lower than 10 by now and the home pregnancy test can't detect less than 10??

New pregnancy or still from my miscarriage.  I'm to nervous to go to the doctor.  Please tell me with your experience.

A non pregnant persons hcg level sits at a 5, it doesn't go to 0. I would say this is a new pregnancy.

It is possible that your miscarriage is giving you a false positive, however it isn't likely. It has been more than 6 weeks since its happened and your levels probably went down to normal and then your got pregnant again. . Go back to the doctor and ask for a blood test so they can check your hcg levels

Sometimes the home ones are more sensitive. When I first found out I was prego, I took one at home and it said positive. I went to the doctors and they told me I wasnt pregnant. Then, I took another one at home and I am pregnant.

Since I got a positive at home today then my hcg level probably went up higher than 10?  I really want to run to the lab right now but I don't want to get disappointed.  You think I'm pregnant then?  -- hope so

You shouldn't have had a positive if you had a negative already. The other result may be is that your body didn't realize the miscarriage and it still acts as though you are pregnant. The thing is, if your levels were 10 it shouldn't give you a positive result. You could have gotten a false negative at the Dr or false positive. Generally though... Pregnant urine tests won't read 10 hgc level. It will more often than not come back negative. I guess either way I would contact your Dr.

Really?  I thought the home pregnancy kit is showing positive because my hcg level is still maybe not down to 0?

Nope they read the same levels. I would say you are pregnant.
