Pregnant, Bachelorette Party

I'm newly Pregnant (5 or 6 weeks) and my sisters Bachelorette Party is next weekend. She does not know we are trying and can not find out I am Pregnant. (total bridezilla and might kill me). But I feel like she is psycho and has suspicions. I am going to be surrounded by 10 friends and family who will probably be getting hammered. I need some pretty good advice on what to drink here. Last weekend I celebrated one of my best friends 30th birthdays. She knows I'm pregnant but no one else did. I had drinks that looked alcoholic and always had a cup in my hand and no one bought it and was asking me all weekend if I was pregnant. So I'm extremely worried next weekend that my sister will catch on. I need your best advice and best non alcoholic drinks to order! Even with a drink in hand, what if they want to try it?? I am screwed

I know everyone made great suggestions...but why exactly can't you just tell her your pregnant so you can be honest? I mean bridzilla or not, you have every right to share your news and she can just suck it up and not be such a spaz. Its not like you're trying to steal her thunder. You're just being honest instead of lying...I mean really what's worse...dealing with her freaking out and getting over it. Or lying to her, then she finds out and is extra pissed ?

Since youre a beer drinker, id say odouls or something similar. Give the bartender a heads up....they've seen this before, I promise.

At dinner, you could go potty and secretly talk to your waiter about what's going on and to make your drink virgin even when you don't order it that way. Or ask if they have the non alcoholic beer.

Thanks everyone! The problem is, she lives with me right now while she searches for a home so she knows when I'm sick or not and I don't know if she would buy any of that antibiotic stuff. Ordering virgin drinks may be my only hope but I'm normally a beer drinkers! And at dinner and at our hotel we will have drinks and I have no clue how to handle that. Tough one here!

Plus if its like any typical bachlorette party...everyone else will be getting so trashed they will be too drunk to notice or care. Just remember to react to things as if you were drinking. I find when not drinking around drunk friends you start noticing how dumb we normally look when waaaaaay to drunk..lol try to have fun

I agree with klg22. You can say you are on an antibiotic or some medication that you can't drink with. Someone will most likely say "oh I have drank with antibiotics before". At that point say the antibiotic gives me really bad heartburn and alcohol will make it so much worse. Try to think of a few things others could say ahead of time, so you can have response prepared and not caught off gaurd. Ordering drinks that look alcoholic could work but what if someone buys a round of shots?At least with medication excuse you can pass and nobody would think twice.

I get an orange juice or soft drink that I would normally have mixed with vodka and ask the bar people to put it in the glass they use for the alcoholic drinks... Nobody knows the wiser. By the end of the night if people ask why ur not influenced just reply with 'I'm not feeling it tonight'

I have ordered a tonic water or club soda with a lime. It looks just like a gin & tonic or vodka soda. Should keep suspicions down... Good luck!

Get all of them virgin, meaning its the drink just without the liquor like virgin daiquiris

You could say you're on antibiotics for a UTI or something you feel comfortable saying lol. That way you can't drink on the night and you have an excuse to leave early if you get tired ;-)

Just order.cranberry and club soda. or pretend u have a flu bug and wanna go out and have fun so ur gonna stay.clear of alcohol so u dont end up sick and having to leave. Tell her a few.days b4 that u have the flu so shes not suspicious
