Prenatal causing nausea??

Is it possible for my prenatal vitamin to be making me feel nauseous all the time? I take it at night before bed. I thought it was just stress or just bad nausea from being pregnant, even my Dr thought it was stress. But I just started thinking about it and the severe nausea started shortly after my Dr switched me from an OTC vitamin to this prescription one. So I'm wondering if it could be making me so sick. Anyone ever had that happen?

Are you taking them with food? I take my prenatal with supper, because if I don't have it with food it makes me nauseous. Most prenatals have a little suggestion to take with food. It helps for me.

the pre-natals from trader Joe's are all natural and reasonably priced i have been taking those, they include everything required.

I had the same issue. And I actually went to a health food store and purchased an all natural organic prenatal vitamin and and dha vitamin.  Not cheap compared to the otc brands at Walmart or stores alike. But I felt so different after. I didn't have to take any anti nausea meds at all. Just a thought and idea for ladies interested.

My doctor told me today that really  all you need is iron if your diet is good. But that will make you constipated. I eat a ton of dried fruit and homemade fruit juice which helps a lot to fight that.

Thanks! I took the OTC one tonight to see if it made a difference in how I feel. I don't remember feeling to nauseous with the otc one. If I feel better tomorrow than I'm going to call my doctor and tell him. I'll ask about the Flintstones too. I've been having issues with constipation (sorry if tmi) too so that may be an even better solution. Thanks again ladies!

Yes and it's OK to take 2 flintstone vitamins instead. Your Dr should've told you that when you went for your first appointment. They usually say if prenatals make you sick or constipated you can just take 2 flintstone vitamins instead. So ask about it. I'm not a Dr and idk if there's something specific in the one you were prescribed that you might need.
