Prenatal vitamins

Hi I'm just curious as to who does and does not take prenatal vitamins I have the worst memory and probably only took them for a few weeks in the beginning I'm 11 weeks now 12 on Sunday and I have the biggest guilts for not always taking them? My brother seems to think it's just expensive pee and that they are worthless (black mores pregnancy) thoughts?

I didn't take mine the first trimester mainly because I would gag and throw up while taking them. Once the nausea stopped I started taking them everyday. The prenatal vitamins are more vital to your health than baby. Mainly because baby is taking all the vitamins your body ingests normally for itself so the prenatal vitamins give you that extra boost to support you AND baby. Folic acid is also really good to take to help your baby.

Try Amazon! You can read reviews based off of other women's experiences. You can find very inexpensive vitamins too. I always leave them on my kitchen counter and remember to take them everyday as I am always on the kitchen haha

I tried every day but I found most brands made me feel ill.

I read a few places tht even taking them 3 times a week is beneficial... so I figure its worth giving it a go. Forget a few days and nothing will change, so don't feel guitly.

Think of all the Mums that take them and then have morning sickness and bring them back up!

Keeo going and do the best you can :)

I take them every day I sometimes forget once or twice but I make sure I take them each morning after breakfast.  I use to take the first response vitamins those  just made me feel really sick. I switch to nature made brand that made a big difference.  No more feeling sick

Mine are free with my insurance  (there are cheap options too) so I don't think they are trying to use them as a money maker. Every doctor I have ever seen mentions them first thing, so I think they are a good idea to take, especially the folic acid which helps with brain development. It's never too late to get on track though. I used to have trouble remember to take medication so I just set a daily calender reminder on my phone to go off at the same time everyday. I have forgotten a few times with the vitamens, but have noticed setting them next to my tooth brush helps prompt me to take the every night.
