Prescribed Percocet

Has anyone been prescribed percocet while pregnant? If so, how was your baby? I'm paranoid to take it.

I was prescribed percocet at 28weeks! I started off pregnant with quads, lost 2 babies so my hormones were pretty bad, I took it for about a month and it worked fine, my twins came out perfect!

I wasn't prescribed percocet, but have been on oxycodone and vicoden for migraines and kidney infection pain, I am 34+5 and my baby is perfectly healthy. Doctors always outweigh risks vs benefits before giving you anything

If you've been prescribed it, it means the risks are worth it...unless you feel like the original problem has been dealt with. Either way all medication questions need to be discussed with your Dr. If you're not comfy with it,  speak up!! Maybe they can give you an alternative

I may not be much of help. But right before i found out i was pregnant i had a.root canal done and was prescribed percocet. I took about 6 pills in total for the pain. A week later i found out i was 5 weeks pregnant. I wanted to kick myself. Im now 8 weeks and baby seems to be doing okay. If you think you can hold off from taking it, then go ahead. But if youre in extreme pain for whatever reason then you should take it. When youre in alot of pain, it can lower your breathing making your respirations very shallow. And that in turn leads to oxygen deprivation to the baby. So just make an educated decision and go with your gut as well
