Preterm labor.

I'm 35 weeks and was having some pain this morning. Called my doctor and she told me I was definitely having contractions. They have stopped and were not consistent. My question is, could this mean that the real thing is just around the corner? Or just my body preparing?

They were just Braxton Hicks. Real contractions are consistent and gradually get stronger and closer together. I've been getting Braxton Hicks on and off for about 2 weeks and I'm almost 36 weeks now.

Probably just your body getting ready,  I had that with my daughter for about 2 weeks before my water broke
