Pulled out of work

I'm having an emotional day. I missed work yesterday because I thought I was going into labor. They said I have an irritable uterus. Thankfully my little boy wont be coming out too soon.
Then I had another dr appt today to discuss my ashthma issues. I've been having a lot of asthma attacks because the ac at my job broke and has been leaking for a few months which has lead to the walls being destroyed with mold and the carpeting filled with mildew and sopping wet all the time.
I was worried that I was going to have to step down to a lower position in order to get out of the environment, but my dr just said I couldnt go back until the mold was removed... she said it could easily be done by putting in a dehumidifier.
Called up my job and they told me to take a leave of absence, because they have to remove the whole wall and the carpeting because the mold is out of control...
So now I am essentially out of a job :(
This isnt what I wanted, because I am capable of working... just not in that environment.

Good for you. I know it's hard. But you have to look for the positive and keep it. Stress isn't good for baby. And it isn't good for a pregnant mommy or someone with asthma. Try to look at the positive. And vent to us whenever you need.

I am just upset because I am being forced to not work because they havent fixed an unsafe work environment... not because I am incapable of working. I am reporting the company to OSHA

The good news is they are giving you the leave. So you can go back when they are done with repairs. In the meantime, you have a chance to do some baby prep. Good luck
