I find coconut oil clears up any rash, its got lots of good things, and is naturally antibaacterial. Also look up ketosis polaris, or kp if i spelt it wrong. It might be that!
Yes you should get pushy ! .... try and take her to a specialist ;) ! hope your lil one get well... my bby gets a rash once in a while but it goes away the same day
Well it cant be a food sensitivity because as of yet she is efb with some rice cereal that wasnt started until after the rash was well established. and as far as coming in contact with something, there is nothing new so if that is it then it would be something that she has developed an allergy to. i did just call her dr and they are sending a refferal to a dermatologist so hopfully we will get to the bottom of this! Thanks for the imput so far!
Impetigo runs in our family and is similarly related to cold sores/fever blisters. For us, anything that has a ointment will cause it to spread rather than dry up and go away. Tyoically now we have to use an antihistamine, like benadryll and something to dry it out. But if it's getting better with the meds for awhile, is there something she's coming into contact with that is causing an allergic reaction?
My nephew is 8, but gets a terrible rash around his.mouth if he eats anything remotely acidic. Pasta or pizza sauce etc especially. His creams do not work very well but help. He gets egzema(dont know if thats the correct spelling) aswell.
I would definately inquire about food sensitivities and try and track that, and ask to be referred to a dermatologist. (Im still pregnant, but answered anyway
..lol)
I would bring her in again. I had a similar experience on myself. I had this awful runny nose to the point the that the skin under my nose was just raw and weeping. I assumed it was just that irritated so I treated it with vaseline. It got a little better then got worse again. Then I tried antibiotic ointment. Same thing got a little better but then started to get worse again. After two weeks I decided to go into the doctor and here it had become infected and I had impetigo (a staph infection).
