Question please help...

So i got an email from the doctor who did my ultrasound saying I can view my records online well I did. And I was browsing through the site when I seen diagnoses and clicked on it. It says other known or suspected fetal abnormality, not elsewhere classified, affecting management of mother, antepartum condition or complication. Does this mean some things wrong or that nothings wrong I m very confused and freaking out.

Mellyn717 that's the problem with people being able to review their records online lol. I work as a nurse and when patients get copies of their records it's always super confusing to them and causes unnecessary stress. Many times drs use certain codes, such as "fetal abnormalities NEC" so that insurance will pat for the procedure, not necessarily because there is a problem. If your Dr were to bill it under the "supervision of normal pregnancy" code insurance would most likely bounce it back to you because they'd consider it unnecessary. Its good that your Dr got back to you so quickly to explain it.

Dr finally got back to me he said its the medical code they use for screening for fetal abnormalities. No abnormalities were found however due to fetal position a few images weren't clear that's y there going to repeat the ultrasound when the baby's bigger. I feel much better now.

That's y I was confused I was told her brain and spine were normal and she looked good I do go back Dec 29th for a second ultrasound cuz he said he didn't get a good look at her heart or face. I was just confused that ud say everything's fine then to see that under diagnoses. I posted on here to see if maybe others knew what that meant while I was waiting to hear back from this Dr. I asked what exactly that meant and if something was wrong with the baby just haven't heard anything back yet.

I'm not sure I'm new to the website but I'll have to see what I can find out. But I get what ur saying but thats the only thing is says under diagnoses it says name and under it says what i previously posted then says the date an drs name. Hopefully someone tells me what it means soon. I hate worrying especially for no reason

I'm sure that if something was wrong they would have told you and not just emailed you telling you to check your results.

I would think you could call whoever set up that website in the office.  It seems very likely it's a statement in everyone's chart,  that allows input right there to put any possible other conditions.

Is there an IT person to contact in that email if you have trouble logging on to your chart?  That's the person I'd call - to find out if this is just a thing that's on everyone's chart.

I can't stand waiting for answers.  :(

I'm waiting to hear back from the Dr jus not sure how long he will take to get back to me cuz my regular obgyn isnt the one who did the ultrasound or put that in my records. So I have to wait till he calls back. It says it was updated nov 7 an that's when the ultrasound who done. I'm just confused cuz he said she looked good didn't say anything bad.

Was it a clickable link?  So,  like if there was a problem that statement would be checked or you could click on it?  That sounds like a category of problems to me - like,  under that section they could put "history of depression",   or "history of severe anemia".     Since there's nothing listed there that's specific,  I think that's a heading for a list - and in your case that list is empty of conditions.

But I tell you what,  I'da been on the phone already asking.
