Real contractions that just.... stop?!

So we all know braxton hicks... tightening,dull, in the belly... dont get worse.. etc etc...

Well I had really low, almost like period cramps ....they HURT my back,lower belly and thighs! Got a few every 10 mins for a while! Then....nothing. They stop! Why?!
Somewhere, someone is having a blast watching me squirm! Lol

Anyone else ever have this?!

Seriously the only thing that had put me in labor is walking all day.....Don't sit it hurts and ***** but keep going!

Nope real ones don't stop ... or non iv went through . Lol
Of course we all have had them come and thought Ok this is it .. & then they stop ... phht *** hole contractions playing with our emotions ;)
So I'm guessing your experiment yesterday failed :( and gave you false hopes ... your so CLOSE ! I can't believe it hasn't happened yet ? Your baby has moved in and ain't moving out lol

This is my 3rd baby. I have felt this feeling before! Its exactly how my daughters labor started! Period like cramps! I just ignored them because she was my first but I had her that night!

I feel your pain treksy! I've been in and out of l&d a few times now. First Dr sent me cause she noticed I was 4cm and 50% and wanted me to get monitered (mind you I was nothing no progress zip the week before) then the next night I was there again for contractions 2-3 min apart....but they monitered for An hour said no progress and shipped me out....its like there is some sick jokester in control of our labor laughing his butt off at our frustration....its like oz behind the curtain! When I find that curtain I'm using the tin mans ax the lions claws scarecrow and Dorothy can dance and sing with me once I'm finished and Toto can have the left covers lol.....its so frustrating!!!!!!!!!

Yea of course all contractions feel that way even fake one or just sometimes the blessings of being pregnant cause cramps , but did they just randomly stop with her as well ...... (?)  Or did they continue at a regular rate . Who knows maybe yours stopped but it's still going down then lol Idk

I went to bed with the cramps with her. Then woke up going owwww wtf? Lol
Her entire labor start to finish was 31 hours. Yes, it was hellish and I had no pain meds up until I needed c section.
Omg it was bad. Now Im paranoid thats gonna happen again

Some people can be in slow labour for days with contractions that start and stop but progress is made over that time. I don't know if that's good or bad news lol

Yup... I was not a happy camper. They started out light at midnight and then went to 5 minutes apart. They started hurting bad and just stopped at 6 am. Its happened one other time during this pregnancy also. Lol definitely a cruel joke!! I guess they did do something I'm now 60% effaced and dilated to a 3. As of last Friday anyway. I'm hoping everything I did yesterday helped that get further along :-)

I'm with ya, Treksy! I was doubled over yesterday, was sooo sure it was time! So I started pacing and breathing through the pain next thing I know it stopped :( It was uncomfortable to sit and felt like I'd had done 100 situps my belly was so sore. But woke up this morning and felt like it never even happened. I'm hoping it at least dilation progressed or something for all the pain I was feeling! I'm so ready to meet my little boy!

Have you tried to do sole squats? I'd hold on to something though. Cause that's a nightmare trying to get back up after you've been down for the count..lol

We took the husbands monster truck out on bumpy roads. Im in it as we speak and it hurts and this thing is a gas hog... but Im dealing with it

Hope the mud truck brings you some good labor luck lol. Got my fingers crossed for ya! Love reading your posts I don't feel so crazy when I read em lol cause at least there's one other person out there who seems to be in a similar situation. I too have two kids (Ages 1 and 2) and am praying this baby get her but in gear cause its getting tough to get stuff done and take care of the little ones with this little monster inside. My husband has been a saint but he works a lot so...anyway best of luck sending labor juju your way :)

Maybe it is a slow labor. Happened my last 2 pregnancy I kept getting contractions that would just stop and then start again.  With my 1st one it started around 20 weeks and I would be dilated a little more every time i went to l&d but they kept giving me shots to stop it until i was 36 weeks then nothing until my water broke on D day. With 2nd I had them come and go for a week before ignored them thinking maybe just BH went to appt was 5cm and even then they stayed stop and go until I got induced. Been feeling same thing all weekend again stop and go and I really don't know what to think just waiting for appt Tuesday and hoping this time they are only BH. Hopefully your body will make up its mind and your beautiful baby will decide to come. Good Luck!

might sound silly but my nurse buddy told me that being in a scrubbing floor position with the movements work, I thought he was joking but he swears by it, of course I will not try I'm only 31 weeksoso give it a whirl for all of usoso when our time comes we can have hope lol good luck keep us posted.

Mine did the same thing. They were painful so I toldmy hubby that I wanted to go to l&d. I didnt tell him that they were stopping/slowing down.  Even on the ride there they werent bad at all, but when I got there I had her within 2 hours. I was just excited that they admitted me.
