Relentless Heartburn Suggestions??

I've tried everything that I've been told or read to try, but nothing is helping. It's hurting pretty bad to the point of tears. i never had issues w/indigestion/heartburn/reflux until 2nd trimester of pregnancy. Ugh. Anyone have any secret weapons for heartburn?

I took Tums daily then went into preterm labor and was told to stop because something in tums can make you contract so my doctor put me on prilosec.....for 5 months. It worked wonderful.

I've done tums, taking zantac daily (after speaking to my doc before this bout), milk, eating, laying down, sitting up. I had it bad for 2 days, but has gone away for now. Same thing happens with acids reflux. I'll have to remember the other ideas, thank you! Although I'm not sure I could choke down the mustard one lol

Have you tried zantac its a class B medication...my doctor just told me I could go back on prilosec even though it's a class C and that stuff is awesome...it doesn't give instant relief like TUMS but if you take one a day it will keep your stomach from make so much acid...talk to your doctor first though since it is a class C medication

I've been getting heartburn if  I'm hungry lately, maybe a small snack would help?
Also, a drink of milk helps. So does yogurt or ice cream, in small portions of course. And while I've never tried it, I heard a spoonful of mustard helps.

My dr prescriped nexium for me. It is a miracle worker. Nothing over the counter woukd work for me. It was terrible. Nexium was a life saver. I dont have heartburn at all now. You can actually buy it over the counter now too i think, its pricey, but definitely worth the money.
